Lucy Clark

Lucy Clark

HEAD GOLF PROFESSIONAL

Lucy came to the sport early, starting when she was just eight years old. Over the following decade she has worked consistently to improve her game, training with both her county and her country and playing with Essex ladies before her eighteenth birthday. At 19, Lucy had reached a handicap of 2.8 and was granted a golfing scholarship to the Lon Morris College in Texas. Playing golf while working towards an Associate Degree, Lucy was able to broaden her horizons, encountering new training methods and techniques.

Having returned to the UK, Lucy made the decision to undergo the PGA’s rigorous Coaching Course and become a Teaching Golf Professional. Beginning her training at Chelmsford Golf Club, Lucy made a name for herself by creating an academy programme that brought new juniors into the game while also running an adult starter scheme. Players who train with Lucy benefit from her infectious love of the game and her absolute dedication to helping them improve.

Jack Nicholls

Jack Nicholls

ASSISTANT PGA PROFESSIONAL

Jack took the game up quite late in life at the age of 14 years old. Within 5 years he was down to a handicap of 4 and had set his goal in life to make a living in the game. Jack has been a member of the golf club since he picked up a set of clubs and has built up a great rapport with members and staff alike. In 2014, at the age of 22 and a scratch handicap, Jack was given the opportunity to undertake the PGA Foundation Coaching Degree still being based at The Rayleigh Club. Now in his second year, he is relishing the opportunity to develop his own game as well as help others achieve their golfing ambitions.

Jack has taken on the East Course cadets in 2015 and has been organising competitions every week since the start of the year, as well as coaching both East and South course cadets every other Wednesday evening. Players who train with Jack can expect informative lessons together with a relaxed attitude to produce an enjoyable experience for both player and coach.
